Public
Relations
From Hitler to Baba Ramdev, there is a common thread which has transformed their image from a normal nondescript person to larger than life looming personalities; this thread is Public relations or (P.R.), they both were adroit handlers of public emotions. Look at where Hitler ended up, he turned into a much hated Public figure while Baba Ramdev became a cult figure for his crusades against corruption and yogic healing techniques. Even Google, before it became a behemoth that it is today, it became a centre of attraction due to its crack-down and imposition of restrictionary measures by the Chinese authorities, led to the curiosity factor in the
neighbouring democracies like Hongkong, Taiwan and Japan and slowly marking the rise of the search engine company in Asia and the rest as they say is History or the Akshay Kumar's jean controversy which led to phenomenal rise in purchase of that brand of jeans, after the controversy and this list just goes on and on…Who plants these news, who builds this drama factor, who doctors all these scandals. The Dr. who!… is none other than the Public relations personnel.
The P.R. is the Image projector, upholder and maintainer of organizations, celebrities, wannabes, high profile personalities etc. They keep the image of the concerned party alive in the minds of the public through various media. . It is also, most influential tool and cost effective medium of promotion to build rapport with employees, customers, investors and the general public. In short a P.R is a powerful platform to enhance your reputation and it literally can make or mar the careers of Individuals as well as organization.
